Dental

Dental cleanings are part of your pet’s wellness care. Keeping your pet’s mouth healthy and clean sets the stage to prevent gingivitis, periodontal disease and infections in the mouth. If left untreated, dental disease can lead to much bigger problems with organs later in life. If you turn away when your pet sneaks in for a kiss, you should make an appointment for a dental screening right away. Our dental cleanings are safely performed while your pet is under anesthesia. Full mouth Dental X-Rays, Ultrasonic cleaning, polishing and fluoride treatments are standard services.

If you notice any of the following, your pet may need a dental cleaning:

  • Bad breath

  • Changes in eating or chewing habits

  • Pawing at the face or mouth

  • Broken teeth

After your pet has a dental cleaning, you will be sent home with detailed instructions for post-op care, as well as a dental kit filled with samples of preventatives to keep your pet’s teeth pearly white.
